Matrox release Beta Drivers for MXO2 & Final Cut Pro 7

Matrox have released a public Beta version driver (Version 2.1.5) to support Apple's new Final Cut Pro 7 (Studio 3) on the MXO2. The drivers, available now, are still in the process of being tested by Matrox but due to high public demand, they’ve decided to offer this beta version in the mean time.

AJA Mac Plug-Ins for Adobe & Support for MacCaption

AJA announced today that it now has mac plug-Ins for Adobe v6.5 with support for KONA LHi & CS4. AJA Mac Plug-Ins for Adobe v6.5 support Adobe CS4 as well as KONA v6.5 software.

Also, there's now MacCaption Software support for KONA 3 and KONA LHi. MacCaption software now works with AJA's KONA 3 and KONA LHi to add HD/SD closed captioning capability to Final Cut Pro 7 systems.

The new Boris Continuum Motion Tracker Unit includes four powerful, specialized filters that enable you to recover motion data from a clip - without resorting to a separate application - and then use the data in several different ways:

- Corner Pin allows you to map media to a specific area on a moving object in a media file. For example, if your media includes a moving bus with an advertisement on its side, you could use Corner Pin to track and replace the advertisement with a logo.

- Match Move locks the movement of one image clip to another image clip. One of the great advantages of using the Match Move filter is that it includes full DVE functions such as tumble, spin, and rotate along with interesting lighting and light wrap compositing features.

- Wire Remover removes wires and unwanted objects from still or moving images by either cloning or blending pixels together from surrounding areas.

- Witness Protection allows you to track the motion of an object in a media file. You can then use the motion path data to control another aspect of the effect. For example, you can track a logo on a t-shirt and use a blur to obscure the logo. You could also apply a mosaic, tint, or brightness/contrast effect to the specified area.

Antiglare display option now available for Apple 15" MacBook Pro

It seems that Apple has finally bowed to pressure to offer an option to the standard MacBook Pro Glossy Widescreen Display. An antiglare display is now available as a configure-to-order option on all 15-inch MacBook Pro models. Media 100 Suite Now Available with MultiClip Editing & MXO2 Support

Media 100 continues to forge forward and announced today that it is shipping it latest realease of the Media 100 Suite.
